In these Terms of Use:

Acorn Ideas mean the online research panel established by Pacific Magazines for the purpose of surveying the opinions of Australian's for market and social research purposes;
Member means a person who has been accepted for Membership of Acorn Ideas and Membership means Membership of Acorn Ideas.
Establishment Survey means a survey of a potential Member's relevant personal detail that is completed as a prerequisite to Membership and any update of those details that a Member is requested to provide; and
Website means the Acorn Ideas Website (www.acornideas.com.au) and associated sites under the acornideas.com.au domain.
To become and to remain a Member, you must:
Pacific Magazines may accept or reject an application to be a Member at Pacific Magazines' absolute discretion and without giving reasons. Membership is not transferable.
The Privacy Policy of Acorn Ideas (which is available here) forms part of these Terms of Use.
By becoming a Member, you agree that you have consented to receive emails from Pacific Magazines in connection with Acorn Ideas.
Pacific Magazines may, at Pacific Magazines' absolute discretion, suspend of terminate all or any part of Acorn Ideas by giving notice generally to Members at any time.
A Member may cancel Membership by clicking the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of messages sent by Acorn Ideas or by logging into Acorn Ideas and selecting unsubscribe from the update profile page.
Pacific Magazines may, at Pacific Magazines' absolute discretion, suspend, cancel or terminate a Membership, at any time and with immediate effect including without limitation suspension, cancellation or termination.
Pacific Magazines may enter your name in Acorn Ideas' regular prize draws and other competitions that may be offered to Members.
Each competition run by Pacific Magazines in connection with Acorn Ideas will be subject to specific terms and conditions, which will include these Terms of Use and by which you agree to be bound.
Where you win a prize in any competition conducted by Pacific Magazines in connection with Acorn Ideas, Pacific Magazines may publish your name in Acorn Ideas' newsletter and Website and elsewhere.
All tax liabilities and other duties arising from winning a prize in any competition conducted by Pacific Magazines in connection with Acorn Ideas are your sole responsibility. Pacific Magazines give no warranty or assurance in relation to such tax or other duties.
In order to receive any prize from Acorn Ideas your membership must be active when the prize is drawn.
Except as required by law, Pacific Magazines makes no warranty (whether express or implied) whatsoever with respect to Membership or to the use of the Website, which is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Pacific Magazines' liability for any loss that may be suffered as a result of the use of the Website is limited to the full extent permitted by law.
You acknowledge that the content on the Website (including things that you may see, read, hear, download or access on or via the Website) is subject to copyright and possibly other intellectual property rights.
You agree that the "Acorn Ideas" and "Pacific Magazines" logos and logos associated with the magazines published by Pacific are trademarks of Pacific Magazines. All rights in those trademarks are reserved by Pacific Magazines. Any other trademark appearing on the Website is the property of its respective owner.
Acorn Ideas may be affected by the laws in force in some jurisdictions. Any aspect of Acorn Ideas that is affected by relevant law or government policy or direction will not operate or will only operate to the extent permitted by that relevant law or government policy or direction, as Pacific Magazines may elect.
These Terms of Use may be changed or varied at any time without notice and with immediate effect by Pacific Magazines in its absolute discretion.
Pacific Magazines may have an agent, supplier or contractor carry out all or part of the Acorn Ideas service in its absolute discretion.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
